Romans 13:9-10
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

One of the most profound and beautiful things about our faith is how you can find infinite depth in its detail, and yet, it can also be know by this simple command "Love your neighbor."

One time I was walking with someone who loves to observe and photograph birds. I confessed to him that I knew very little about "birding" and honestly struggled to tell one bird from another. He replied "For most birds, the easiest way to identify them is to listen to them sing."

There is so much to learn about Jesus, at times it can feel overwhelming and it's easy to get lost.

If you ever feel that way, remember this:
Love is the distinct song that God sings over creation and invites us into the chorus.

Wherever you encounter love, you have encountered Christ.
