"Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me."
"Home in a Month" in partnership
with Hometown Missions
DSPC has the opportunity to partner with Hometown Missions on a special project in 2021.
Hometown Mission’s big project for the year is to build a “home in a month” and the recipients of this new home will be Roy and Louisa Acosta. Louisa, better known as “LaLa”, has lovingly cared for all the babies who’ve passed through the DSPC nursery for many years. We are overjoyed to be able to return that love in this way. To learn more about the project visit HomeinaMonth.org
The goal of this project is to make it a community-wide event with the city and several churches contributing resources and labor. We will have the opportunity to serve hands-on by pre-building different components of the home as construction begins in August and September. To see a schedule of events and labor requirements, visit HomeinaMonth.org/events
To contribute to the cost of this project, you may donate directly to the Mission Fund of DSPC or note "Home in a Month" on your check. DSPC Pancake Brunch for Missions
From the very beginning, DSPC has combined yummy breakfast foods with great fellowship one Sunday a month to support a particular cause outside of our walls. Over the years, we have raised money for non-profits, scouting projects, neighbors in need, and community outreach.
Covid-19 has put a temporary twist in how we do things...but stay tuned...pancakes will be back!
If you would like to give electronically to support the partners of DSPC, you may do so below.

Prayers for Partners
At DSPC, we want to show up for our Mission Partners in every way--physically, financially, and spiritually. We believe in order to be faithful partners, we must be praying for these organizations and the people that comprise them. On a regular basis, we solicit specific prayer requests from our partners. Then, the Mission Team, along with a dedicated group of prayer warriors pray over these specific joys and concerns and lift them up to God.

On June 6, 2021 DSPC turned the $3K of donated inventory into Summer Fun Bags for Street Youth Ministry. SYM serves street dependent youth and young adults up to age 28. The bags included fun items to help lift spirits such as drinks, chips, cookies, and treats. Items essential for battling the oppressive summer heat like sunscreen and insect repellent were also included. In total, we packed 360 bags that will be put in the hands of those who need them in downtown Austin during the summer months. Way to go, DSPC! The generosity of our community is inspiring!
